All NaturalTeeth Whitening

There is a lot of pressure in today’s society to have really white, sparkly teeth. I feel the pressure myself, and in the past, I have used over-the-counter whitening agents for my teeth. In order to stay in line with my lower-toxin lifestyle, I have chosen to no longer use these products due to their chemical ingredients. I am going to talk about why I use dirt to make my teeth white, and how it’s effective and easy!

My all natural teeth whitening routine.

There is no way we can avoid all of the toxins in our lives, but not using over-the-counter (OTC) teeth whiteners is one easy way we can avoid them. One of the ingredients in OTC teeth whiteners is coal tar. It is found in shampoos and bubble baths and is known to create a whole myriad of health issues. Fluorides and heavy metals such as mercury, lead, and cadmium are found in these as well and can be deposited into your body causing tissue breakdown. Aluminum, which is tied to Alzheimer’s disease, benzene, which is a known carcinogen, and aspartame are other ingredients found in OTC teeth whiteners.

Is it really worth it to risk your health just for this cosmetic benefit?

I do not believe it is worth the risk. Now, you may have heard of charcoal before, but I want to share more about how charcoal can be used as a teeth whitener. What I have here is an older version of a charcoal-based teeth whitener. The newer version of this product is called Activated Sparkle and is available on Amazon. Some of the ingredients in Activated Sparkle include charcoal bentonite clay, diatomaceous earth, turmeric, clove, and sage. This is all organic, and the use of this product is simple!

First, you place about ¼ of a teaspoon of the charcoal-based teeth whitener in your hand. Add about 5 drops of water. Get a small toothbrush and scoop the product from your hand onto the toothbrush. Then, you use the toothbrush to apply the product to your teeth.  Now, close your mouth and allow the product to sit for 20 minutes.

This product does cause you to salivate, but it is important that you do not spit as this will result in losing the ingredients that have the whitening effect. After 20 minutes, you can spit out the product and rinse your mouth with water.

After rinsing the product, I recommend brushing your teeth as normal. Some people use this product mixed in with their toothpaste. However, I don’t recommend this. Different mixtures between toothpaste and this product can be very abrasive, so my thinking is “better safe than sorry!”

You will be amazed at what this will do for your teeth!

You may use this product in conjunction with coconut oil or with a drop of thieves oil. Coconut oil has many great benefits, and thieves oil is a disinfectant, antibacterial, and antiviral product. This will keep your mouth health really strong, as many illnesses begin in the mouth.

If you do choose to use over the counter teeth whitening products, I recommend you flush these toxins out of your system as soon as possible. Though you may not be able to see the effects of these toxins today, over time they accumulate in your body and cause health issues.

Ways to flush these toxins out of your system include drinking plenty of water, taking Epsom salt baths, or using a PRL (Premier Research Labs) product called Medi-Clay.  More dirt! I highly recommend it, as it acts sort of like a mop to help pull the toxins out and get them out of your body. I open a couple of these capsules, put the contents of them in water, and drink it.

I hope you found this helpful, and now understand the importance of using lower-toxin teeth whitener products such as this one.   I hope to share more helpful hints and information about beauty and health and living a lower toxin lifestyle!
